Regretfully, Dreadful Bloom is the marketplace for the illustrations and machinations of a traveling artist the Bloomsbury family has taken in. Unfortunately for the artist, the residents of the estate tend to have no appreciation for artwork and voice their rather nasty opinions quite loudly. The estate handles the sales of the artist's work. The profits afford the traveling stranger keep on the estate in quite a miserable little bedroom, but their access to the estate grounds is unlimited...

The wretched Bloomsbury estate is home to the current generation of Bloomsburys: Mordecai and Florence, the inattentive parents of Adelaide (7) and Amos (10) and the assorted disgruntled staff that keep the estate barely in the shambles it is accustomed to. Handed down from generation to generation, this estate has seen everything from grisly accidents to the more milder shouting matches at the dinner table. It's been a hard year thus far.
